- Purpose of this website is to enable employees of the Sumitomo Chemical Group to deepen their understanding of sustainability by answering a quiz and posting their opinions for the realization of a sustainable future. Use of this website is encouraged but entirely voluntary.

This website only collects the personal data you voluntarily disclose or upload, which might include:
- company name, job type, work site and business department (for officers and employees);
- name, photos, job title and messages (only for executives and directors);
- ideas and proposals for realizing a sustainable future;
- results of answering the sustainability quiz.
You are not required to identify yourself when using this website but you can provide details that might, directly or indirectly, identify yourself if you wish so.
In addition, the website automatically registers cookies and connection source IP addresses which might qualify as personal data if referred to an identifiable or identified natural person.
- How and by whom will the information be used

All information that you voluntary provide by using and interacting with the website will be securely stored on the Knot Co., Ltd.’s (“Knot”) database, in Japan. SCC and Knot maintain a legal agreement to ensure an adequate level of data protection.
Information collected by the website might be reviewed and used by those individuals who need to know the data to fulfill their job duties (including human resources, audit, legal, IT, or management functions, employees within the sustainability and responsible care departments). In addition, information is shared among Sumitomo Chemical affiliates to promote sustainability and other group initiatives. Please note that information collected by the website is processed and analyzed in aggregate and such processing activities are not aimed at profiling or identify a single data subject.
Information are also shared with Sumitomo Chemical affiliates located outside the European Union, including in countries where the European Commission has not found that the privacy laws ensure the same level of protection of personal data as provided in the EU. In these cases, personal data will be processed according to appropriate safeguards as provided for under EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

- SCC will keep the personal data collected by the website for three years. Once this time period has expired, SCC will either delete or anonymize the data.
